Free Beer Offered as Craft Beer Brewery Shuts Down
22 Jan 2020
On January 20th, Jar Brewing Factory, open since March 8th, 2019, announced that it has been forced to close unexpectedly.
"The day before yesterday, the owner of the park (Hong Jinwen Technology Co., Ltd.) forcibly cut off the water and power," Jar Brewing published in their official WeChat account. They claim they were given less than a month notice to move as the government has plans to demolish the building to make room for other developments.
Unfortunately, there is nowhere near enough time to sell off the four tons of high-quality craft beer they have (valued at 220,000 yuan) at the brewery. Without power they can't store it either so they have decided to give it away, absolutely free!
Starting yesterday, and continuing today, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., anyone who has visited their brewery in the past is welcome to come take what they can. There's no limit. You can take as much as you're able to carry out!
"I would like to thank the friends who accompanied me through these ten months, and thank you for your support and tolerance," the owner concluded in the farewell article.
